The Art Center Presents: "From the Ground UP," Featuring the Work of Bunkt_.

The Art Center is thrilled to present "From the Ground UP," an exhibition showcasing the imaginative and expressive abstract art of Brian Wagoner, known in the art world as Bunkt_. 

Bunkt_'s artwork is renowned for its energy, mystery, and raw emotion. His works consist primarily of abstract figures, using materials such as ripped-up canvas from previous paintings, cardboard, random materials found across his messy studio floor, and exciting things he sees while walking his dog, Nellie. His art is an intentional jab at the conventional art world and those who think that art is reserved only for those with technical prowess.

A self-taught artist, Brian discovered his passion for art at 44. His unique process involves transforming discarded materials into expressive art pieces.

With a background in education and professional training as a teacher and counselor, Brian previously worked as a wilderness counselor for children struggling in traditional school environments. His profoundly personal artwork features various characters, wildlife, and life experiences.

Rebecca Proctor, owner of the Art Center, shared her admiration for Bunkt's work, saying, "I immediately fell in love with Bunkt_'s work because it speaks to me, and his work has been hanging at the Art Center ever since."

"From the Ground UP" will be displayed at the Art Center through the end of August. A reception will be held on Saturday, August 3, from 6 PM to 9 PM, and the public is invited to attend.
