Second Annual

Charity Corn Hole Tournament to be Hosted by Dover, Rollinsford, South Berwick Lions Club

For Immediate Release:  The Dover, Rollinsford, South Berwick Lions Club is hosting its second annual Corn Hole Tournament to benefit pediatric cancer research at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth.  Gold, Silver and Bronze Sponsorships are available through June 14, 2023.

The event will take place at The Barn at Dunn Farm in Berwick, Maine on August 12, 2023 from 11am to 5pm.

Last year the group raised $3400 for Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Health thanks to the local business community that rallied to support the cause, including SC Digital/Loud Canvas Media, Jennifer Halteman Insurance, New England Prospect, Dean Brothers Landscaping, Souther’s Construction, Bank of NH, Cornhole by the Ackley’s, Insurrcomm, Envoy Mortgage, Ortho Lazer, Loan Depot, Aztec Financial, First Seacoast Bank, Silver Fountain Inn and Servpro.

This year’s goal is to raise $10,000 for Dartmouth Health Children’s, New Hampshire’s only children’s hospital. According to Sarah E. Earnest, Development Officer of the Dartmouth Cancer Center, Dartmouth is poised to have a direct and immediate impact on preventing cancer in children as a national leader in cancer research. Dartmouth researchers are working to refine approaches, protocols, and education for pediatric screening in a way that empowers doctors and parents — and saves children’s lives.

Turnout is expected to exceed 500 people, including players and spectators. Sponsors will be featured on T-shirts, banners, plus additional options.
