Rockingham Choral Society performs “Redeem the Dream” and “US”

Rockingham Choral Society performs “Redeem the Dream” and “US” as part of the Sing Democracy 250—All America Program on Saturday, May 2nd at the Exeter High School and Sunday, May 3rd at Christ’s Church in Exeter, NH. Both performances will take place at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $18 for Seniors and students. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.rockinghamchoral.org

Annual Poetry Event on Thursday, April 16th beginning 6:30 pm at the Hampton Park and Recreation Building. Free event. Presented by the Hampton Academy students on their own work focusing on Hampton History at the time of the Declaration of Independence.

Good Friday Service at the Bethany Church Greenland Campus on Friday, April 3rd from 6:00pm-7:00pm.

Easter Sunrise Service on the beach with Bethany Church, Sunday  April 5th from 5:30 to 6am at Hampton State Beach. This service will be held outdoors just north of the Hatch. We suggest dressing warmly. Please note: no pets allowed and no restrooms available at this service.

Palm Sunday Service

Palm Sunday Service on March 29th beginning 10am at Hampton United Methodist Church, 525 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Crowds of people welcomed Jesus by waving palm branches by laying them on his path. Join us on Palm Sunday to Wave Palms. All are welcome!

Details/Comments: Step aboard one of New Hampshire’s most fascinating historic treasures — the USS Albacore! AARP NH invites you to enjoy a FREE guided tour of this remarkable research submarine on April 15 with two sessions available at 11 am and 12 pm.

 

Albacore Park in Portsmouth is a National Historic Landmark that celebrates innovation and maritime history. Visitors can explore the submarine’s control room, test the periscope, and hear recorded stories from former crew members who lived and worked aboard this unique vessel.

 

Parking is FREE, admission is FREE, and the experience is unforgettable! Because of the submarine’s tight spaces, large bags, walking devices, and wheelchairs are not permitted aboard.

Step back in time and discover the untold stories of 5 courageous women, both patriot and loyalist, American and foreign born, who witnessed, chronicled and in some cases changed the course of the American Revolution.
