Annual International Printmaking Exhibition
At The Art Center of Dover
The Art Center is proud to announce the unveiling of its highly anticipated Annual International Printmaking Exhibition. Opening on January 8 and runs through the end of February.
Juror Kate Higley, known for her expertise in printmaking, selected a broad spectrum of prints from a substantial number of submissions. The selection features an eclectic mix of artistic techniques, showcasing various forms of intaglio prints such as mezzotints, photogravures, and etchings. Furthermore, the exhibition proudly includes monotypes and monoprints, boasting two and three-dimensional pieces by renowned artists hailing from the vibrant arts scene of New England.
Diversity and creativity are at the heart of this exhibition, as evidenced by the inclusion of silkscreens, woodcuts, collagraphs, and linocuts, presented in an impressive range of sizes, both grand and intimate. The participating artists hail from across the globe, representing countries like Australia, Canada, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and Poland and encompassing printmakers from fourteen states within the US.
"We're thrilled to present such a diverse and exquisite collection of printmakers' artworks from around the world," curator Rebecca Proctor of The Art Center said. "This exhibition celebrates the incredible versatility and creativity within the realm of printmaking, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the mastery of techniques and artistic expressions from myriad cultures."
The exhibition opens on January 8 and runs through the end of February at The Art Center, located at 1 Washington Street, Dover, NH. The public is invited to an exclusive Artist Reception on Saturday, February 3, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, allowing them to meet the artists and discuss their inspirations and artistic processes.
The Art Center welcomes visitors during gallery hours from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. For those unable to attend in person, visit our online gallery - www.theartcenteronlinegallery.com.
