First Annual Charity Indoor Golf Tournament

The Dover, Rollinsford, and South Berwick Lions Club is pleased to announce sponsorship opportunities for the First Annual Charity Indoor Golf Tournament, taking place on March 28, 2026, at Sports Hub in Somersworth, New Hampshire.

Proceeds from the tournament will directly support vital community initiatives, including vision services, hunger relief, diabetes awareness, childhood cancer support, environmental efforts, disaster relief, humanitarian aid, and youth leadership programs. Since reforming in 2020, the club has proudly donated close to $20,000 these important causes.

The tournament will be held at Sports Hub, a world-class indoor sports facility located right here on the Seacoast. A variety of sponsorship levels as well as team registration options are available. Full details can be found at [https://birdease.com/golfingforacure

Ukulele Fest 2

Ukulele Fest 2 on May 3rd at the American Legion Post 440 in Newton MA. The New England Ukulele Festival is a joyous music celebration featuring the top ukulele performers from across the region. This special event isn’t just about music-it’s about making a difference. All proceeds will support the Ukulele Kids Club (UKC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing music therapy to hospitalized children.

Just Desserts baking competition

The Just Desserts baking competition is on Saturday February 7th beginning 1pm at the Barrington Public Library! This sweet event has sold out in the past. Tickets available at the circulation desk. Funds raised will go toward furnishings at the new library!

The Puzzle Dash

The Puzzle Dash is on January 24th beginning 12pm at the Barrington Public Library. For ages 12+ and most team members must be from Barrington. Registration required. Call 603-664-9715.

January Walkabout

January Walkabout: Intro to Winter Hiking at the Village Place Easement Trails~553 Littleworth Rd (Rt 9 east of Millo’s) on Saturday, January 17th beginning 9:30 am. Please wear appropriate warm clothing and suitable footwear. Parking is available at the trailhead off Rt 9 or at nearby Millo’s. It will be about 1.5 miles, 1.5 hours for the hike. And the Winner is:  The Barrington branch of Edward Jones Investments has announced the winner of the annual year end Dow Jones Average prediction. The contest held during the Holiday Soiree, invites participants to predict what the Dow Jones Average will be at years end. The Soiree was held on December 5th. This year’s winner is Norma Hartford of Farmington. Her guess of 47,954 was closest to the actual year end Dow close of 48,063. Congratulations to Norma who along with a nice gift basket has bragging rights till next year.
