An Evening with Kati Preston on

at The Barrington Public Library is excited to welcome Kati Preston, Holocaust survivor, author, and public speaker, to Barrington to present her graphic novel, Hidden. She will take the audience on a journey through history as she recounts the details of her early childhood in Nazi-occupied Hungary. 28 members of Kati’s family perished, including her beloved father. Kati is with us today due to the kind and courageous acts of one single person during the final stages of World War II.

Join the Barrington Public Library at 6 PM on Wednesday, October 4th for a special presentation by Kati Preston, Holocaust survivor and author, as she tells the story that inspired her new graphic novel, Hidden: A True Story of the Holocaust. This event will take place at the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), 77 Ramsdell Ln, Barrington. Open to the public.

Kati is with us today due to the kind and courageous acts of one single person during the final stages of World War II. Her lasting message is to never underestimate the power of one person. Her story of overcoming the unspeakable atrocities of WWII resonates with people from all walks of life. Her message of hope and conquering hateful acts with love and kindness is a message for all of humanity.
She has visited middle and high schools, historical societies, teacher and administrator conferences, faith groups, and local prisons. The Barrington Public Library has both her biography and her new graphic novel Hidden on our shelves to check out. She will have limited copies of her book available at this event to purchase. Cash and checks will be accepted.
Cat Fanciers Association Cat Show will be on October 28th & 29th at the VFW in Rollinsford. Open 9-3pm each day.
Backyard Farming Initiative, Behind the Scenes at Bedrock Gardens on Wednesday September 20th from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. This month we will meet Jill Nooney and Bob Munger of Bedrock Gar-dens, 19 High Road, Lee! Jill and Bob will be taking us behind the scenes of Bed-rock Gardens and delighting us with all its wonder.
The Barrington Historical Society will be dedicating the new NH Historical Roadside Marker honoring Rev. Benjamin Balch and “Old Aggie” on September 16th beginning 10 am at the Pine Grove Cemetery. Come join us! Bring your own lawn chair.
Retro Night – with the Barrington Rec on Friday September 15th from 5:30 to 7pm at the Barrington Elementary Parking lot! Bring your own skates and scooters. Helmets required. Knee/elbow pads are recommended. Music and activities for everyone to enjoy!
