The Art Center Presents the 2025 Artist in Residency Exhibition

The Art Center is proud to announce the 2025 Artist in Residency Exhibition, a dynamic showcase of works by this year’s Resident Artists.

The exhibition opens March 10 and runs through the end of April, with a special artist reception on Saturday, April 5, from 6–9 PM. The public is invited to attend this exciting event and celebrate the creativity of five outstanding artists.

The 2025 Artists in Residence include nationally recognized artists Dennis Cardalisco, Dawn Boyer, and Shiao-Ping Wang, along with printmakers Amy Alterisio and Margaret Tykodi. The three Resident Artists are seasoned professionals with years of experience, each holding a degree in art and exhibiting throughout New England. This year’s exhibition promises to be a vibrant and visually stunning collection, highlighting diverse artistic styles and mediums.

Now in its 6th year, The Art Center’s Artist in Residency Program has supported artists by providing dedicated studio space, time, and resources to expand their creative practice. Over the years, The Art Center has successfully offered this opportunity to more than 30 local artists through residency and printmaking programs.

The program is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Peter Henry of Market Square Jewelers, who helped establish the residency program, and Tony Wold of The Closet Connection, whose continued support led to The Art Center’s state-of-the-art printmaking studio five years ago.

As The Art Center expands, it is poised to become the most prominent art hub on the Seacoast, with 25 artists working out of both locations. This growth solidifies The Art Center’s mission to foster artistic excellence and provide opportunities for artists to create, exhibit, and thrive in a professional setting.

The Artist in Residency Exhibition is a unique opportunity for art lovers, collectors, and the community to experience exceptional contemporary art up close. Visitors can explore a range of artistic expressions, from painting and mixed media to printmaking, in an inspiring and welcoming gallery setting.

Artists interested in applying for future residencies can visit www.theartcenterdover.com for more information.

The Art Center is at 1 Washington Street, Suite 1177, Dover, NH. Gallery hours are Monday–Friday, 10 AM–6 PM, and Saturday, 10 AM–2 PM. For inquiries, please call 603-978-6702.
