Abstracting Winter in New England

The Art Center Presents: Abstracting Winter in New England by The Abstract 4

The Art Center is proud to announce Abstracting Winter in New England, a compelling exhibition by The Abstract 4, running from November 11 to December 30.. This group show features celebrated artists Dustan Knight, Barbara Adams, Tom Glover, and Peter Cady, each capturing the multifaceted beauty of winter in abstract form.

Winter in New England can be defined by frozen rivers, sparkling snow, brooding skies, driving rain, fierce blizzards, or serene, hushed stillness. It is a season of contrasts, marked by cold fury and peaceful reflection, a time when nature pauses to prepare for renewal. The Abstract 4 have transformed these vivid, ever-changing experiences into works that encapsulate both the power and tranquility of the season. From snowy woods to fractured ice, stormy vistas to alpine glaciers, and coastal quietude, their paintings reflect the many faces of winter.

The Art Center invites the public to experience these magical abstractions and celebrate the artistic exploration of New England’s most contemplative season.

Meet the Artists: Join us for a special event on Saturday, December 7, from 6 to 9 pm, where you can engage with the artists and gain deeper insight into their creative processes.

Location: The Art Center, 1 Washington Street, Dover, NH.

Don’t miss this stunning tribute to winter’s beauty and power, brought to life through abstract expression.
